W ith all that's happening in the real estate market today, now is an opportune time to buy. There are three primary reasons for this: There are a lot of houses to choose from, interest rates are low and home prices have dropped significantly in recent months.

Many clients ask, "Should I wait for it to drop more?" This is largely a judgment call and you should follow your instincts. My view is that the "bottom of the market" is a difficult thing to time. By the time you've read in the newspaper that the real estate market has reached the bottom, you've already missed it. If you think you'll live in your next house for five years or more, now is a smart time to buy.
